Why are most getting it wrong?

It has been not seen much impact of digital initiatives on the P&L of organizations, or atmost minimal impact, over last few quarters.

While larger objectives are defined like operational efficiencies and cost savings which are somehow achieved to some extent, however those are not translated in business improvement much.

It is generic view and certainly a topic for discussion or debate.

Possible reasons,

  1. Misunderstanding on what digitalization actually means.
  2. Siloed and adhoc projects not necessarily achieving larger business objectives
  3. Surrounded by influx of technologies and buzzwords, difficult to know what makes sense for the business
  4. Technologies are evolving faster and PoC projects are not relevant after sometime
  5. Management pressure
  6. Peer pressure
